Pan-Sussex Procedures Group

Pan Sussex Child Protection and Safeguarding Procedures Manual

The Pan Sussex Procedures Group reviews, updates and develops safeguarding policies and procedures in response to local and national issues, changes in legislation, practice developments, and learning from serious case reviews and audits. The procedures are a tool for all professionals working with children and families across Sussex. The group meets four times a year and has a membership drawn from key agencies across the Safeguarding Partnerships in East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.

There is also an annual Pan Sussex Procedures Conference which is an opportunity to highlight a key safeguarding theme, for example in 2017 a conference was held on ‘Neglect’ and in 2018 a conference was held on ‘Safeguarding Adolescents’. Please note that it is anticipated that the next conference event will be in Spring 2020.
