ESSCP to continue remote working

Date: Thursday, 10th Sep 2020 | Category: General

At the ESSCP Planning Group last week the decision was made by the 3 statutory partners (CCG, Police and LA) that, considering the continuing risk from Covid-19,  we will continue to not hold multi-agency face 2 face meetings or multi-agency classroom training for the rest of 2020.

The work of the partnership will continue in full, with Board, Steering, Sub-group meetings and learning opportunities going ahead using tools such as Microsoft Teams until Christmas. This will be reviewed nearer to the end of the year.

We are continuing to use this opportunity to develop different ways of delivering training and sharing learning. For example, we ran our first Live Webinar ‘Gangs, Youth Violence, Knives and Criminal Exploitation Awareness’ training in August, followed shortly by remote Prevent, CSE and CE sessions, as well as developing pan-Sussex MAPPA training. We are working through the ESSCP training offer to determine the priority training areas over the next few months and consider alternative methods for sharing learning and knowledge during this period of remote working and beyond.
