Learning from Excellence Event on Serious Violence

Date: Thursday, 01st Jul 2021 | Category: General

Earlier this year DfE, DHSC and Home Office undertook some joint work with a selection of safeguarding partnerships who saw the highest volumes of serious youth violence over summer 2020 in preparation for protecting young people who may be at risk, as national restrictions have eased over recent months.

As part of this, the national Safeguarding Reform Implementation Team has pulled together a Practice summary which draws together a wide range of themes and examples of work that partnerships are undertaking to protect children and young people from exploitation and violence.

Given the vast array of work undertaken by partnerships in this space, this is not an exhaustive summary but rather a repository of practice examples which the implementation team are sharing in case it is useful to help with local planning, and/or to facilitate conversations with other areas to reinforce mutual experience and learning.
