Face to face East Sussex Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (ESSCP) training courses are currently suspended but over the coming weeks and months we will be adapting some of our existing training offer so that it can be accessed remotely, we will update you on the portal when these courses become available. Take this course ESSCP: Managing Allegations Against Staff (Virtual) – LSC667

Wednesday 9 December 2020 09:00 – 13:30

On this course participants will look at methods to effectively manage the process of an allegation against a colleague or themselves.
This training is only aimed at professionals who will be directly involved in The Managing Allegations process and who have a relevant need to investigate.

This live, interactive training will be delivered via Microsoft Teams .

 

Take this course ESSCP: Young People and Abusive Relationships – (Virtual) – LSC668

Tuesday 15 December 2020 10:00 – 15:30

The one day seminar focuses on domestic abuse, both experienced and perpetrated by young people in their relationships. It includes a focus on domestic abuse within young people’s own intimate relationships as well as considering the emerging area of child and adolescent to parent abuse.

This course is appropriate for practitioners who wish to improve their knowledge base and practical skills when working with young people and their parents/carers who are experiencing abuse within their relationships.

This live, interactive training will be delivered via Microsoft Teams .

Take this course ESSCP: Young People and Substance Misuse Professional Level (Virtual) – LSC653

Thursday 12 November 2020 10:00 – 15:00

The aim of this FREE course is to provide substance misuse training to support individuals with substance misuse problems, contribute to their protection and carry out basic substance misuse interventions. Whilst also looking at the holistic response to problematic substance misuse needs, such as mental health, sexual health/exploitation, child protection, and the law.

Take this course ESSCP: Identifying Sexual Abuse Of Children (Virtual) – LSC652

Tuesday 17 November 2020 10:00 – 15:00

This FREE course will enable participants to:

  • have a better understanding of child sexual abuse including the legal context
  • develop a better understanding of the signs and indicators of child sexual abuse
  • consider factors that make children and their families vulnerable to sexually abusive behaviour
  • have a better understanding of how they can manage disclosures of child sexual abuse
  • what is Child Sexual Abuse.

This live, interactive training will be delivered via Microsoft Teams.

 

 

Take this course ESSCP: – Gangs, Youth Violence, Knives and Criminal Exploitation Awareness Training – (Virtual) – LSC654

Tuesday 17 November 2020 09:30 – 15:30  

This course will address gang crime and youth violence. This has been identified as a national priority and this course will enable frontline staff and those working with children and young people to identify individuals at risk of gang involvement and to provide timely support and interventions to support them. This course will be delivered by Excelsior Safeguarding CIC, a ‘not for profit’ organisation established to provide effective help and support to vulnerable young people and adults.

The sessions are relevant for colleagues who work with children and young people as well as vulnerable adults

This live, interactive training will be delivered via Zoom.
