Subgroups
The East Sussex Safeguarding Children Partnership (ESSCP) operates a partnership ‘Board’ made up of statutory safeguarding partners and relevant agencies, which meets on a quarterly basis, and a ‘Steering Group’, to support strategic and operational decision making.
This is supported by a subgroup structure which leads on areas of ESSCP business. The groups are facilitated by the ESSCP Business Unit, are chaired by key multi-agency partners, and are attended by a range of managers from multi-agency partners.
More information about each subgroup can be found on the Pages box with links opposite:

It is no longer a statutory responsibility of safeguarding partnerships to coordinate the review of local child deaths. Across Sussex a new panel was created which became live in October 2019. Details of the new panel can be found in the Pan Sussex Child Death Overview Panel – Guide to Operational Working (June 2019) document.
