#LookCloser Awareness Week (11 October) – Child Exploitation

Date: Wednesday, 06th Oct 2021 | Category: General

The next #LookCloser awareness week is starting on Monday 11th October 2021.

#LookCloser is a partnership campaign between The Childrens Society, the National County Lines Co-ordination Centre and the British Transport Police aiming to raise awareness of child exploitation and abuse, with a particular focus on public spaces.  The campaign also seeks to challenge stereotypes of victimhood, highlighting that child exploitation can happen anywhere, and any young person can be a victim.

In advance of the upcoming awareness week, the Children’s Society is pleased to share its latest version of the #LookCloser digital pack ready for use from the 11th October 2021.   There are some valuable new additions to the pack including a new ‘pledge’, a briefing for businesses, stickers, business cards and some refreshed content. The briefings included in the digital pack detail the steps you can take to support the campaign and spread awareness of child exploitation and abuse.
